**** Meg walked into the Java web while she finds Annie talking to Tracey one of the staffs that worked there. She was talking about last night and what took place at the dinner. Meg remembers what Maria said to her:
“were you just able to switch your feelings on and off for Casey like a tape and transpose onto Ben?” Maria goes on. Meg wasn’t replying, she didn’t know what to say to Maria, as she was getting confused herself. “so what if you mistake Ben as SB and then realised SB was in fact really Gregory. What would you have done Meg switch those feelings off that you felt for Ben and then transpose them onto Gregory?”
she shrug these thoughts out her mind and walks up to the counter. “I wish I was there to seen all that!” Tracey lets out in excitement. “yeah it was pretty amazing,” Annie goes on and seeing Meg standing next to her. “you could actually feel their connection,” she says keeping her eyes on Meg. “hi Tracey can I have a coffee to take out,” Meg orders. “ah, sure,” she serves Meg and begins to make one fresh coffee. “you look tired Meg, sure you didn’t have a sleepless night, I know I would have after everything that was discussed last night,” Annie states trying to irritate Meg. “so have you figured out who you actually love SB or Ben Evans?” Meg only throws a look back at Annie as she bites her teeth together.
“and the connection Trace, with Ben and Maria, it was filling up the whole table,” Annie continues with her story. “things have always been so intense with them both. You know you could actually feel the intenseness between them, like they so connected physically and emotionally. I’ve still haven’t come across anyone like that,” Tracey mentions. “honey now times that intenseness with 10, that’s how worse it was between the two,” Annie rubs in front of Meg. “your kidding. God I wish I was there. Sounds like it was a hell of a night. Everyone’s talking about it. About the coin and Ben. Maria always saw through Ben, she knows him better then anyone else.” “I know, they were made for each other, why do you think back in college when I was dating Ben I told him that he reminded me of Maria and I told Maria the same thing. That Ben reminds me of her and when I introduced them…it was firework, sparks- glued to one another I remember…” Tracey interrupts and starts to laugh. “but its so sad how their whole life has fallen apart.” “you know just forget the coffee!” Meg says and storms out, while Annie looks back with great big grin on her face…..
**** sitting on the sofa of surf central Alex held her tea mug on both her hands together. She was lost in thoughts about Gregory and what Maria mentioned to him last night:

“Gregory thank you for inviting me,” Maria holds her hand in his. They were all ready to leave. “no Maria I should be thanking you for making the time and attending dinner,” Gregory thanks her. “you made tonight very interesting. I forgotten you have a gift.” “no, I don’t Gregory,” Maria disagrees. “yes you do, you see in people Maria. You understand complex people and their intention,” Gregory makes her aware. “I try not judge anyone or falsely accuse them of something, unless you don’t know the full story.” “that’s very noble of you.” “you’ve always been a fighter Gregory. You never give up on anything. I’m just surprised a fighter like you has let your enemy win,” Maria mentions. “and how so?” Gregory was confused; he didn’t like the thought of him being the looser.
“well think about it. Annie she destroyed your whole life, and your family. She in away took everything away from you,” Maria explains as Gregory eyes her with interest again. “and don’t get me wrong, although I love Annie and she’s my best friend, but what she did to you and to Olivia…” she pauses as he could hear the remorse and sadness in her voice. “it was awful and a tragic, that you will let someone come between you and your family and take away everything you worked so hard for to achieve and build. In away you let Annie win. You let her destroy you and your life,” Maria finishes concluding. He never saw it at this perspective until now.
“well I can say the same about you Maria,” Gregory want to makes her aware. “didn’t you let your enemy win?” “no I didn’t. I fought to the end Gregory and I made sure of that. And all I did was give Ben what he wanted which was a divorce. So therefore, you could argue that Ben his really has lost not me and like you he had let his enemy destroy us…”
Alex knew what she had to do…..
**** Ben walks down the media centre, as everyone became really quiet when they watched him work up. The all stooped talking as he realised why. They were discussing him and Maria. The coin observation she made of him last night. They all eyed him in fascination as he hated being in the centre of attention. He gives a smile back at them. “is everything alright?” Ben asked. “yeah Ben..” they all agree. “hey Ben what’s up?” Leo came up towards him, dressed in suite. “Leo.”
“last night dinner was pretty amazing.” “of course,” Ben agrees. “I mean Maria Ben, she’s so amazing. I don’t know what is about her. But she’s so amazing,” Leo keeps repeating. “you mentioned Leo.” “yeah but I guess you know because, she’s Maria and you two your so you know. Connected that’s the word. Maria she knows you so well Ben and the whole thing with the coin- don’t you have some work to get on with,” Ben interrupts. “yeah I do, but what I’m saying is your the next legend Ben. I’m still trying to figure it what she meant?” “well when you do, keep it to yourself,” Ben says and walks off. He had to get out of this place. Why are everyone so obsessed with and him and Maria…
**** “his getting obsessed with Maria mum,” Emily lets out. “its only a crash his going through,” Bette explains. “all he talks about is Maria. And how amazing she is- Emily your not jealous are you,” Bette asked her out front. “no Mum! How could you even think that.” “oh yes I’m seeing the symptoms,” Bette says reading her daughters face and actions. “mum, Leo’s a friend. His like a brother. I don’t feel anything for him.” “okay then why did you break up with Sean if he didn’t mean something to you?” “well of course he does his a friend, and he did have a point about Sean. I’m starting to see a side of him that I don’t like. And he doesn’t trust me either especially with Leo,” Emily defends herself. “and now your beginning to see a side of Leo that your attracted to?” “no! so he looks great in his suites and he goes his way to help me out and, his kind and we have a laugh together…” Emily pauses. “oh my god I’m falling for Leo!” Emily lets out in shock. She felt her legs letting go and becoming weak. “mum what I’m going to do?” Emily says.
“Ems, Ems its only natural,” Bette tries to assure her. “and what about Sean what I’m I going to do about him.” “well follow your heart and you will be able to figure out what you want.” She kisses Emily on the forehead and walks out of the beach house…

**** Alex knocks on Gregory’s apartment door. In a few minutes it was opened by him, who had a white shirt and black trouser worn. The first two buttons of his shirt were undone. “Alex,” he was surprised to see her. She smiled sweetly back at him. “can I come in,” she asked. “of course,” he let her through. She looked around the spacious place as she remembers the intimate time they’ve had here. She felt his hand touch her shoulder. “so what brings you around?” he asked. He could see something was on her mind. “Gregory we need to talk about your future.” She watches a confused frown appearing on his forehead…..
**** “I’m just so confused mum. I don’t know what to think anymore. For the first time in my life I’m confused what my feelings are for Ben,” Meg cries to her mother. “Meg, SB still is Ben.” “no that’s part of Ben. God if you only were there last night. She had a point. And now everyone are talking about them and how their so connected. Because they are, I could see them reconnecting in front of my eyes. And last night it just proved that there’s a side of Ben that I don’t even know anything about,” Meg goes on. “what do you mean?” Joan was confused.
“last night Maria came round to check on Benji and before she left she gave Ben his lucky tap-pence,” Meg informs her mother. “apparently he gave it to Benji and Maria thought he needs it more then Benji did. I didn’t even know he had lucky tap-pence. And I’m just feeling so disconnected from him mum,” Meg says as she cries more. “Meg you need to talk to Ben how your feeling what this is doing to you,” Joan advises her. “his been so distance from me for a while now. Something happened between Maria and Ben I know it. And Maria said Ben needs to find something that will complete both his SB side and the other side that I wasn’t attracted to. And now I think I know what it is.” “what is it?” “Maria, Mum. Its Maria….”
**** Ben stood in front of the alter and broods into the virgin mother and her child. He closed his eyes as her as he remembers what Maria said to him:
“just remember something. You are the coin, and the coin is only complete when both the sides are complete. Therefore you need to find something that will complete both the sides. Don’t think by completing one side you can neglect the other. Because you can’t. if you do all you will be doing is hurting yourself English,” Maria explains
he frowned and gets his tap-pence out of his jacket pocket. “I am the coin,” Ben says to himself. “many memories hold this place doesn’t it Ben.” He looked back and sees Antonio behind him, in his priest clothes. They both exchange smile at each other. “Antonio, hello,” Ben greets him. “Ben, I’m sorry I disturbed you from your prayer,” he apologises. “no you haven’t,” Ben says.
He smirks back at Ben. “you never were a church person Ben,” Antonio remembers. “I just had to get away form everything,” Ben explains. “a wise choice you made. Remember the house of god will always be to everyone especially to those who don’t have no where to go.” Ben nods his head.
“you heard?” Ben asked his ex- brother-in-law. “about last night dinner, yes. You know you can never keep anything quiet in this town,” Antonio adds. “you can say that again.” Ben shook his head and lets out a big sigh. “what is it about me Maria?” Ben questions as Antonio listens. “what makes my situation with Maria so different from other ex married couples with children?” Ben wanted to know. “its because your marriage didn’t fall apart like every other ex married couples,” Antonio tells him, as Ben looks back at Antonio. “instead of falling apart it was forced apart., and that changes everything Ben. Everything,” Antonio expresses. He eyes Antonio for few seconds.
“you sound just like your sister,” Ben mentions. “that’s a compliment thank you. But Maria’s she amalgamation of all us and that’s what makes her so special and unique…”
**** “Gregory I know what Maria said to you last night has made you think,” Alex tells him. “well she did make a very good point,” Gregory says and sits on the sofa. “I guess I have let my enemy win.” “no you haven’t, you’re a fighter Gregory always have been,” she states and comes and sits beside him. “maybe Maria has finally opened a door for you to finally get back what’s rightfully yours,” Alex suggests.
“I just don’t think I can Alex,” Gregory says. “you have to chance everything you want for everything you want to have,” she reminds him. The phrase Maria used last night. “and what about us?” he asked. “I’m still around. And we can still go on being friends. Its only fair for you to try and make up with Olivia. Just for the sake of it and like I said to you before, I’ll be there to support you through it.” He holds Alex’s hand and then kisses her on the cheek….
