    I've assumed Dru would be back ever since she left this last time.  It would have been interesting to see Dru come back only to find Kneel married to Karen, Lily divorced from Daniel and married to Cain and with a baby to boot.  There could have been a lot of story there in terms of Dru's shock, Karen's reaction, Kneel being caught in the middle, Cain dealing with having a MIL who is a force of nature, and Lily & Devon's joy at having their mother back.  If and when Dru returns, it's too bad we won't see all that.
