Ashley is in total denial. She doesn't believe she had a miscarriage or that Faith isn't hers. Jack and Billy worry about Ashley's frame of mind. Sharon, Nick and Phyllis drop by and want to see Faith. Ashley lets them see her. But the baby wakes up and Ashley tells them to leave and they do. Ashley then makes plans to leave the country with Faith. At the airport Ashley talks to Tucker who realizes she is having a break down. The encounter with Tucker could change Ashley's mind about leaving with Faith. One of the writers says, "Are we going to see Ashley's strength triumph in this time of stress or are we going to see her lose it again and fall into madness?"

Ashley will always be on the outer edge of sanity/insanity, nothing new for the Abbott brothers. Right now, Ashley's balanced all her emontions of denial with having no memory of her Faith delivery due to passing out, but also covering her bets by running away with her, just in case 'they' (Nick, Sharon, bros, Vic) want to take Faith back...because the letter is true! When Ashley was reminding Sharon that Faith was her baby, you could see she was mentally trying to convince herself that the letter wasn't true. She appeared almost frantic, yet calmly snubbed any of Sharon's thoughts that Faith might be her stolen child. Ashley is in complete denial, blocking out all memories of that night, except the fall down the stairs (honestly she would have had bruises everywhere).
It's too bad rumours have Eileen D. leaving the show :<( as I have come to truely appreciate her acting abilities. I absolutely loved her accusations towards Adam at the cabin, great preformance! The actress's performance moves very well between lucid and business-like to a frightened and confused women.

I guess I should have some sympathy for Ashley, but this hysterical continuation of her pregnany-after-miscarriage was annoying from the start. Now, she even remembers falling down the stairs, but still won't consider the possibility that Dr. Taylor's letter is true.
The worst part was seeing her being so condescending with Sharon.....'Oh honey, you'll just end up getting your heart broken all over again, Faith is my baby'. I heard Jack mention a DNA test, but I get the feeling that Ashley will pull one of those....'we don't need a DNA test because the whole idea is absurd' things. I didn't see the last 10 minutes though, so maybe I'm wrong, LOL.
