Topic: Sorry, but Chance and Chloe are a big bore!

Additional Comments: There is only so much excitement you can generate with stab wounds and from a hospital bed, but as usual, they are going into overkill with promoting the socially inept aspect of Chance. He's cute, sweet, nice, calm, patient, affectionate, etc, etc........But this guy is STILL as dull as dirt! Chloe even doesn't seem like Chloe around him. They are taking him beyond all that niceness and making him child-like which I find unattractive in a big honkin' 6 footer. A soldier and a detective even. I'm not talking about experience or no experience in anything, but just a total lack of personality shooting out of him. A little macho is a good thing. I just get the feeling that everyone is treating him like a little boy insted of a wounded man.

Message: I do think they have been treating him like a child instead of a tall, strapping MAN and it has been annoying. I don't get the character of Chance either. He's tall, handsome, gentle, affectionate, RICH, etc. Yet he seems to be socially inept and unworldly. You would think that being in the military would've made him a bit well-traveled and sociable since you interact with a lot of people. People often love and gravitate toward people with Chance's attributes. I don't get it!

Maybe women and men would look at this differently. As a woman, I find Chance to be a refreshing character on the canvas. He is such a nice balance for Chloe. So, what is wrong with a guy that has traits that are decent? Yes, on a soap, if all the characters were that way, then it would be a total bore.
But, he is a refreshing balance to the cads that fit just about every other male on this soap, with the exception of Murphy.
I see nothing wrong with that. And, if he brings out the decent, soft side of Chloe? More the better. WE have enough of the others on this soap to more than balance out the drama.

Message: I like Chance and it's good to have at least one male character who is a decent, honest human being. There's Paul who is the only other one (we're supposed to forget about the incident with Christine I suppose). Yes, the other miserable characters are there because to make the stories interesting we need some kind of conflict otherwise the whole thing would be too boring. Chance or Billy? Chance, hands down. Billy needs to grow up.

Message: Well, Chloe's been on the show for quite a long while now and has a developed character (I feel like I know her well already), whereas Chance is very new. The writers haven't developed his personality yet. I hope they do, beyond the vague Gary Cooper bit they've got him doing so far. Give the guy a sense of humor and make him more particular and individualized.

Amazingly enough, I'm liking Chloe these days. Even her hair today! But yes, Chance is quite a bore and it doesn't add up, with him being so handsome and tall and all that. I hope the poor dear loses his virginity soon!

I like the way he touches her lovingly. That's very welcome after seeing so much ''couching'', carrying the female upstairs, someone pulling someone's shirt off with lips locked together etc.
To me the most sexy thing is the anticipation of it.

Message: Chloe comes into a room where Chance is sitting. She is in her birthday suit. She dances around the room. "Hey Chance, you wanna DO IT? Chance replies "Chloe, Can't you see I'm reading Good Housekeeping? Go to your room, get dressed and try to show a little more modesty, sheeez".

Message: I almost had to choke when Chloe said she was like Holly Golightly in
Breakfast at Tiffany's!! I am a huge fan of that movie..and Chloe
is nothing like that fashionista party-goer of the 1960s!!

Message: Maybe when he and Chloe finally do the wild thing he will turn into a man of PASSION! I remember Billy remarking to Jack (after he & Mac hooked up) "Even at her most stalkerish, I wouldn't kick the girl out of bed!"

Message: I like Chance and Chloe together. I'm not rooting for a heavy romance or anything, since I still believe Chloe belongs with Billy, but it's nice seeing them explore a friendship. You can tell this is something different for both of them and whether or not it ever evolves into anything more, I think both of them will learn from this relationship. I enjoyed seeing Chance and Chloe talk about mundane things like their favorite movies--such a nice change from couples ripping each other's clothes off when they barely know each other.

Message: I like Chance even though he is dull as dishwater. I get sick of the lot of men all being womanizers, cheaters, liars, and jacka$$es who think they are all that. I would pick Chance over Billy any day. He may be boring but he is mature and not the BILLY BABY WHINER type.
