Additional Comments: Her out of breath silliness, giggles, stuffing her hair behind her ears, etc. is being too overdone. Enough already!

I am all of a sudden wondering why has Phyllis hung around for so long? I am tired of her and Nick and the baby girl..and that tiny place they live in...When that kid starts having friends over..are they still going to live in that hovel?!!!

I hated the character and don't like the actress since she came on the scene, left and came back.  I think she's goofy looking and goofy acting and in general just . . .well. . .goofy.  She's so ignorant and with her silly goofy attitude about everything and everyone, I wish she would just go back to New York from whence she came.  I find her a disgusting character and haven't watched her scenes in so long I don't even know what's going on with her.  I wish she would just go away and never come back  - I find her so one dimensional - scarcastic and low-class, no matter what she thinks of herself.

Her and Nick are still my favorite couple. I think they need to throw something bad into their lives every now and then, but I'm not tired of happy yet.

Not in a million years. I adore Phyllis.  She has been a whackjob, etc. but I like this Phyllis.  She and Nick are adoable together..I love seeing them in love and happy.  No wonder Nick fell in love with this smiling, beautiful woman. Sharon was just not 1/2 as dynamic as this woman. I love watching them, and will dread seeing them if they ever split them up.  They are such a cute, loving, happy couple.  Phyllis rocks!

I've never been bored of my girl, Phyllis.  She's toned down for the sake of the marriage and motherhood.  But I predict she's not far away from the creative and crazy-wild scheming of the past.

Phylis reminds me of Flo now, Nina's mother.  You just cringed watching her act out her shenanigans and couldn't wait for the scene to end.

She acts all too perky and cute. Still I'd rather see her on the screen than Slicktor making out with Sabrina, Lily and Cane, and of course, Glo and her suitors.

Phyllis isn't even like a real character lately.  She's phony sounding.  She seldom has a conversation with anyone anymore.  If someone is saying something to her, she doesn't really even pay attention.....she just snaps back with a DEFINATELY!....Absolutely!!.  She probaly couldn't even tell you what that person just said!  She looks disinterested or her eyes are rolling when other people are talking.  I don't know how to explain it....it's just goofy!  I can't remember the last time that she came off as sincere.  Disengenuous, I guess is the word (don't know if I spelled that right, lol).  Anyway, she bugs me.

    Message:

I've gotten to the point where I kind of dread seeing her.  I'm not quite at FFing all her scenes, like I do with Gloria and usually Amber, but I'm getting there.  Back in her first incarnation with Danny she was wonderful, and she was quite good when she first came back, with Jack.  Her affair with Nick was another high point, acting-wise.  In these storylines, she was vulnerable, insecure, and raw in her need for love; at the same time she was of course edgy, driven, and funny in a twisted way.

Ever since Phyllis married Nick, she's been so one-dimensional.  Either a giggling, idiotic schoolgirl or a sheer bully (like in the blackmail story).  Her acting has become extremely mannered and predictable.  Stafford seems to just take her performances out of the canned Phyllis routine, rather than create something real-seeming.

I have been sick of her for quite some time now but she has REALLY had an attitude since she got back from New York.  I agree with the other poster and said it myself for a long time -- Michelle Stafford seems like she is reallly bored with Phyllis.

"Sick of her" may be too strong a description, but I am getting tired of her, basically because the character has become boring. However, I'm cautiously optimistic that the feud she's just now starting with Sharon will bring out some of her more interesting qualities.

  • I find Phyllis's attitude curious..... she was the one who urged Sharon to tell Jack that she wanted to be part of RS, but now Phyllis gets very judgemental and irritated if Sharon even offers an opinion. There sure doesn't seem to be a proper definition of responsibility as to 'who does what'. Maybe I've missed something? but it seem like Phyllis just refuses to consider Sharon's POV at every turn. eom

Most times I can't stand Phyllis, but she is good for comic relief now and then. I really liked the scene where Nick "died" and Phyllis was with Nikki and Victoria planning the memorial service. Phyllis wanted to put a picture of Nick dressed as a woman beside his casket. ROFL!

I liked her response when Amber told Phyllis that she liked Daniel for the long haul.

Other than that, I don't see much use for Phyllis.

I sometimes get the idea that Michelle Stafford is a little bored playing Phyllis.  Especially now that Phyllis is a happy wife and mother and no longer running around town in goofy disguises, putting sea creatures in people's beds, or indulging in corporate blackmail.  These days the most outrageous thing Phyllis does is eat gigantic sandwiches on the couch.
