Topic: What did Colleen THINK would happen with Adrian's book? ALSO, ADRIAN IS HOT!

Additional Comments: I know Col & Adrian have been off the show for a while, but does it follow that she's been off the PLANET also?  Even we at home could figure out that Adrian was writing & finishing his book.  And she JUST NOW decides to find out what he put in it?  And instead of suggesting he "rewrite" entire sections, why not just assign fictitious names to George/Brad/Jana/Rebecca the Holy?  I'm missing something there, but I was glad to see gorgeous Adrian back.  He is SO handsome with that smile and that nice dark hair...and he has a BRAIN.  To me, he's the "anti-Chow" AND the "anti-Jeffrey".

Everyone knew that Adrian was going to write a book and now he's the heavy.. Brad is the one with the fake ID..the Jewish background..and the 3 dead men in his closet...Adrian is not the bad guy in all this. Leave it to Brad to be his usual obnoxious self again.

I've never seen the attraction to Eyal Podell. He always looks vaguely greasy to me, he's short and he's got sort of a high pitched, nasally voice - definitely not deep and masculine like, for example, Josh Morrow, Peter Bergman, Don Diamont or even Eric Braeden. He looks like he should be in a hollow tree making cookies.

  • Well, to each his own. And Brad/Don has REALLY been looking good lately, too. I'm glad he'll be in PERFECT shape when he helps bury DogChow!! /eom. soaphound.
  • Totally LOL at the Keebler elf description! I'm sure I'll think of that next time I see him onscreen.

I have now enjoyed Eyal Podell's talent in two other shows. One, he played a patient with a stuttering problem in Everwood and, two, he played the distraught young husband of a pregnant wife in (I forget the show). His portrayals in both were excellent and indicative of his acting ability. Y&R has not utilized them. JMHO

  • Petunia: the second show was HOUSE; he was a Hasidic Jew who recently married and his wife was having severe medical issues. I hardly recoginzed him at first under those makeup beards, etc., but his distinctive, lovely voice helped me place him even before the actors' names rolled by. Yes, ITA many of our actors are VERY talented, just look at Michael Graziadei's excellent guest spot on CRIMINAL MINDS last week. /eom. soaphound.

Wasn't Colleen the one who encouraged Adrian to write the book when she was mad at Daddy?

I don't get why Adrian didn't use fictitious names in the first place.  Don't most authors do that if revealing names would endanger someone's privacy?  I don't know how the publishing world works but it seems to me Adrian should've had something more authoritative against which to check his facts than just Colleen's perspective while she was mad at daddy.  He should've had Rebecca and/or Brad vet the material pertaining to themselves.  Reality aside, if Adrian's book causes George more grief and causes a split between him and NuNu, I'm all for it.

  • Not only that, but I am pretty sure that when using actual names, they have to get some kind of permission from the individuals in writing. Usually that involves letting the subjects read, at least, the portion in which they are mentioned.eom/petunia
  • I haven't been paying much attention to Adrian's book ''storyline'' - but as a university professor, wouldn't it be more likely that he's writing a scholarly piece of NON-FICTION, as opposed to a novel? IOW, he wouldn't get credit toward his academic ''publish-or-perish'' record, if he used fake names, phony places, and never-heard-of-before Reliquaries. He's trying to thrill his peers with half-page footnotes, so he needs to dazzle them with all kinds of ibids, op. cits., and et als. based on factual history ... et cetera et cetera et cetera. ..lol! Ty34
  • I don't see how it's any different than doctors or lawyers writing a book and changing the names of clients or patients to protect their privacy. Maybe Adrian doesn't care so much about offending Brad but you'd think he'd be a little more circumspect about Rebecca. - Peridot
  • I guess I just thought Adrian's book plan would have be about some of the real art history regarding what happened to The Grudgeon (sp?) Collection, including the Reliquary, and this would have focused on Rrebecca's work with the Nazis etc. and how they continued to pursue her until the art was found. - Ty34
