Additional Comments: What is is about Mac, I mean the actress who plays her, Clementine Ford? Is she being directed to act low key and without emotion? Today her lack of emotion just seemed to be more prominent. Here she was having this highly emotional conversation with Billy, about a decision that's going to have a major effect on their lives, and she could have reading a grocery list for all the emotion she was putting into it. I'm sorry, I hate to keep harping on her acting skills, but her lack of passion and emotion is really distracting. I know Mac is supposed to be an introspective, low key character, but she did have her moments of joy and excitement in the past.

I'm afraid Clementine Ford is doing an awful job. I've tried and tried to give her a chance, but she is just totally FLAT. Like reading a grocery list, yes. The character Mac is serious and introverted, but she should have emotion!! We need to be able to see that. We need to see her vulnerability and her caring. (This was what created the popularity of the old teenage Billy-Mac couple.) The current Mac is affectless, like a piece of cardboard.

I know I'm in the minority but...I like Clementine Ford as Mac. I find her take, as Mac interesting. Ultimately, it's in the writing though.

I'm with you here because I like Clementine Ford too! I think she really is cute and is the best replacement for Mackenzie since Ashley B. The problem I have with the character is that she's way too kind hearted and it's ruining any relationship she has with Billy. I don't know if TPTB want her with someone else (who???) or what, but I don't understand what would possess her to even think about doing it for these two!

She's a one-note actress and there is NO way I'd believe Billy would tolerate her more than five minutes before he fell asleep. lol.

I have to laugh though, every now and then someone writes a letter to one of the soap mags saying how much chemistry Mac and Billy have. Uh, Mac have chemistry? Where? She's like a wet noodle.

Absolutely no talent there. She does a scene like she's talking to a wall. Billy is so animated, emotional and entertaining to watch while she just stands there. And she needs to PLEASE do something with the eyebrows and the horrible make-up.

Sometimes I feel like screaming at the TV 'Mac, show some emotion, please!' Her delivery is flat, monotone and just plain dull.

She truly is bringing nothing to the role. She's been one-note since she started. I've tried to give her a chance because she's the closest to the original Mac in terms of personality, or lack thereof, but even she makes the original Mac look like Mary Freaking Poppins.

The first Mac was reserved, but she showed intelligence.I remember the gap in her teeth which proves she did smile. She wouldn't be so dumb as to immediately jump on the surrogate bus. This Mac should be under the bus.

Scowling? But Old Mac was the Queen of Scowling. Has that not been part of this character since she first showed up? Compared to the other two replacements, CF is most like Old Mac.

I agree CF is most like the old Mac than any of the replacements. I know I'm in the minority here but I like her and her acting which seems very natural. I would much prefer that to overacting a role.

I don't know if it is the direction or the lack of acting skills on the actress' part or both but she is awful. She was talking about being a surrogate for Lily and Cane as if she was discussing what she was going to have for lunch.
