The biggest rumour going round that I've come across several places, states
Cricket is Ryders mother and out to get
Micheal Baldwin, Lauren, and even the redhead.
Even her pal Nina joins her in the terror when Cricket shows how Paul was almost run down.

Message: Whoever started this rumor is an idiot. Nobody would believe that about Christine/Cricket, not even her worst critics. Her character simply was not about revenge. Maybe she would have been more interesting if she had a vengeful streak, but it's too late to introduce one at this late date. It simply would be far too out of character.
I would sooner believe a rumor about an upcoming gay love story between Jack and Victor.

Message: Cricket was a virgin when Derek Stuart raped her in 1989. That was 20 years ago, and Ryder looks more than 20-years old. After that we saw Christine on our screens - not pregnant in any way, shape, or form - continuously until the actress took her first maternity leave in 2000. So we're supposed to believe that Ryder was born sometime after 2001? Even Abby, who was born in 2000, is only 14. No wonder it's a rumor, it's totally ridiculous.

Message: I think that Ryder's mom will turn out to be Katherine's long lost daughter, not Christine. I think the Christine rumor was probably leaked by TPTB (just like they leaked false spoilers about Nikki hooking up with a farmer in Colorado, Phyllils shooting herself and framing Sharon, Ashley being pregnant with twins and only miscarrying one etc.).

And one thing we all used to comment about was the fact that Cricket
never had any children..and what about how she said that her work
was more important then having a kid..that's what led to her break
up with not only Danny but Paul was well..I know maybe Chris went
down to Australia..and she had a baby by Ethan Ashby..aka Cane!!

Message: I've seen that floating around too. It gets more and more embellished with every re-telling! All of which has to be the most ridiculous piece of fiction I've ever read! Honestly - if you are going to do speculation at least let it have some semblance of possibility to it!! Might as well rewrite the last 20 years of the show if they went that route! Not to mention the fact that no one except Phyllis knows who was responsible for that fateful green Ford Taurus night.
