Additional Comments:
-David Chow is one of the worst characters ever and he needs to be booted off the show.
-The poker game scenes are a total BORE for me. Why can't they come up with something better? Why have this storyline for David? Why have David on this show at ALL?
-Why are Nick and Phyllis so insane over a stupid internet magazine? It's an INTERNET magazine! Who freaking CARES??!!! If something doesn't get posted on deadline, what is the big deal??? It's not like it has to hit the printing press! I don't know, maybe this is a big deal and I'm just not up on it. Yes, I know, there are advertisers "counting" on things, or whatever, but s...t happens..get over it!
-Please! No more Trace Adkins, no more celebrities playing themselves! I FF'ed the country bumpkin...he does NOTHING for me!!!
-Sick of Phyllis acting like a giddy schoolgirl. Grow up.
-Adam is a JERK! He's like the kid brother going, "na na na na na na! I got it and you didn't, so there! Pllllllt!!!!" He and his slutty girlfriend Skye can hit the road.
-BRAD needs to go! His character was ruined when LML turned him into the Thighmaster and he killed two people.
....I know, it's only a soap. Sorry. It's been a bad week but after watching Friday's show, I'm disgusted. They need a new Head Writer and new storylines, new characters...it's about as bad now as it was when Latham was calling the shots. Maybe even worse! LOL

Message: ITA with you about nearly all of it. But I think instead of needing a new headwriter, they need the old ones back, the ones that were there BEFORE LML and the complete Y&R makeover. They needed to update and improve some things, but the show had A LOT OF good qualities and strengths that made it the success that it had been for so many years and kept a lot of long-time fans tuning in.
I was delighted to see that LML gone, and hopeful that SOMEONE would reassess the show and bring back many of those strengths and consistencies that we all loved for so long. I doubt anyone could write it so that EVERYONE is happy ALL the time, but the former (before LML) writers did a damn good job. They had occasional bombs, but there was always something worth watching.
Your comments about the current stories pretty much reflect my current perceptions, too. Sad that after over three decades, there's nobody there who has the smarts to be able to plan a strategy to make improvements to an already successful show without destroying its qualities. Seems pretty basic to me.

Message: Agree with you except for Adam, whom I love! As for the magazine, they are actually trying to get the first print issue out now. Although the whole operation seems pretty laid back to me, especially Nick, who doesn't seem to get stressed about anything. Phyllis does, but all her annoying mannerisms makes her even harder to take lately.

I totally agree about David Chow, for whatever reason, he bores me. I hate him and Nikki together. I don't want to bash Vincent Irrizarry, because it probably isn't his fault. Maybe if he was written a different way, had a different storyline, and was paired up with a different lady, he'd be a better character.
I totally disagree about Adam - I love him. And I've liked Sky so far, except for the poker scenes. I kind of think she and Brad might make a good couple.
I'm a big Phyllis fan, but I know what you mean about her acting giddy. Nick sure makes her happy, that much is obvious!
