Subject: Just to add: I think Katherine left Jill her half of the house, PROVIDING Jill keeps Esther there as a 'guest' in her own beautiful wing of the house and until she wants to leave or dies, and providing Esther doesn't have to work for Jill or for the house. - Marilou

Subject: If she changed her will to leave the book to Amber, I'm sure she would have updated it for other people (that is if she left the book to Amber). I'm sure she kept it constantly updated.
