Well, it's official! I'm definitely moving in July (or maybe June 22)!
I found a great apartment in an apartment community! The rent's a little bit higher than I was looking for, but it's a great place! I'll have two balconies off of my apartment (on the sunny side of the building - yay), a pool, fitness center (maybe now that the gym will actually be in my house, I'll actually use it?!), they allow cats (will get one once I settle in), free parking, and all kinds of services for residents! I am so excited! One of the services is that if you go away, they'll water your plants/watch your pets for you :-). I'm also closer to the beach again (grew up in a city right on the beach, but where i live now, I'm inland. My new city is on the coast again)! The only downside - I won't be as close to the city (about 10-15 miles south of it), I'll miss Clark, my roommate's dog; and I'm not as close to public transportation anymore (but will still be close enough to use it every day without having to drive). But overall, this will be a much better deal than I have now! I wish I could move now, but I have to wait.
Yay! The search is over!

CONGRATS DebS, I am thrilled for you! I am currently looking for another place to live, so I understand how important it is to have a great place you can be happy in. And the fact that you can have a cat again is wonderful. Perhaps you'll consider adopting one from the shelter????

Can we know what state you are in, at least? Or what ocean?? Hope I'm not being too inquisitive. I've read a lot of your posts and we seem to be on the same wavelength about a lot of stuff!
I'm happy for you Deb! Your apartment complex sounds nice, with a fitness center, pool, balconies, etc., and cats are allowed. I'm glad you're closer to the beach again and that you can still take public transportation to work, so you don't have to drive.
