Additional Comments: In disputing something wrong on my credit report, is there any way to get a live person on the phone? Rather than go online or in writing? Or are those days long gone?

Are you in a larger city? In Mesa there is an actual office you can go in and meet with a counselor from the credit bureau and work thru your problem face to face.....

Even if you do get someone on the phone, I would put your grievance in writing and keep a copy of what you send. It's good to be able to prove you have been actively trying to contact the agency and you really cannot prove a phone call.

If you ever do get a live person on the phone, they'll probably direct you back to the website anyway.

Customer "service" is all very manipulative in an underhanded sort of way, anyhow.
