The song is Johnnie Mathis and Jane Olivor from the movie Same Time Next Year.  Creator did a nice job on this.

That was great, very nostalgic. Thanks for posting. I loved that movie too. I remember that my mum and I went to see it together.

  • It is one of my favorite movies. It's just perfection and easy to relate to the changes people go through in life.

  • DebS , Are there singers and songs that move you now? The last one I can think of is the Titanic theme.
  • LOL! I am actually going to do a post about this! I decided this even before I saw your response here. LOL!..........DebS

Oh, I remember all those things - even the hula hoops!! Thanks for the memories!

That shot of Tommie Smith and John Carlos with the black gloved raised fists - anyone remember who the 3rd man was? Rose Bush should, as he was an Aussie.

It was he who suggested the other two share the one pair of gloves, and he wore a badge to support them. His name was Peter Norman and he died in 2006. His time for that race is still the fastest Australian record for the 200 meters.

  • How interesting. I appreciate knowing things like that. Thank you.
  • You're welcome. My head is filled with trivia, so it's nice to use some of it once in awhile. I also like learning human interest things...............t

What a wonderful walk back through time. I was born in the early fifties, so this was all very familiar to me. Thank you!

  • Funny how some of the things could be realtive today. The gas pump with the shortage. War and protests. Glad you liked it too.
