Topic: Wow...the pounds are really starting to come off!

Additional Comments: Today was my weekly weigh-in, and since I've been sick for most of the week, I thought for sure my weight wouldn't change much. I wasn't exercising, and since my eating was much lower, I thought for sure my body would hold onto everything. Well, imagine my surprise when I woke up to discover I lost 2.2 pounds last week! This is my biggest loss so far and leaves me about 20 pounds from my goal. This is really exciting! Now that my eating is back to normal, I am finding it easy to get back into my old rhythm...

Good for you...One pound at a time. I have lost 30 lbs since June. Some days it's easy...some...Not so easy. I started at 293lbs and I'm down to 263lbs. I'm not on any type of diet, just watching what I eat and the portions....Good luck and try not to give up...redman

Seeing that scale move downward is always so motivating.  I'm glad that you're on track. And that you're feeling better. :)

Good for you.  Its amazing how just a few pounds makes a difference. I hope you are feeling back to noraml now.  Keep it up.

I did the Nutrisystem food for one month and lost 5 solid pounds.  My husband keeps saying my whole frame looks smaller.  Now if I can keep eating the same way with my own food. Three meals and two snacks per day is tough for me.   So far so good, but unlike most people I skip meals more than eating too much. Bad lifelong habit.

Keep us updated.

Good for you. When we get sick..we lose weight..if you have a small-ish frame. It's the opposite for someone weighting more.. they gain weight when sick. I remember this woman on tv talking..she was home sick with the flu and gained 30 pounds when she was bedridden. I guess it all depends on the person, bodyframe, genetics..whatever the reason why we gain or lose weight when sick.

"It's not fair but who said life has to be fair."

This is a quote from my late mother in law from one of our phone conversations.
