Topic: How Can They Do This?? (Political)

Topic Posted by: DianeR

Additional Comments:

Obama's people are sure busy little beavers.

They are picking up transients, and busing people from Chicago to Ohio, so they can vote early. In Ohio, it may be legal to vote 30 days before Election Day, but not if the voters, (and I doubt that transients and homeless people are registered voters), live in another state!

His thugs are blatantly breaking the election laws, and registering people that shouldn't be registered.  All types of voting fraud seems to be going on, and now I know Obama will be electedd - by fraud!!

I hate that he can get away with this.  Is this really your idea of how a Presidential candidate should act?  I think the Repubs are too mild-mannered, and should do something about this.

Obama only has enough money (and, I'd really like to know how he got all of his money - going to Harvard on LOANS?? I'm sure he got loans for $45K a year tuition.  GMAB).  But, that's another story.  Obama now has raised enough money to bribe the homeless to get on buses and vote.  Are his thugs also raiding the soup kitchens?

This is how the Communist regimes got into power. (By bribery and intimidation).

What kind of nonsense are you talking about? I remember this crap being talked about when Kerry was running. How it was just horrible that Kerry's people were snapping up people and driving them to the polls.

OMG. How UNconstitutional that Americans are allowed to vote!! Who sounds like a communist??

Diane, just admit you are a republican and be done with it. And I thought you weren't going to post anything political anymore?? Oh, I guess if its trashing Obama, then its okay.

Hypocritical much?

  • What is unconscionable (spell?) about it, is the ''voters'' they are bussing, are people taken from soup kitchens, the homeless, and halfway houses. They are being bussed from a state where it is illegal to vote that early to a state, where it is not. The ''residency'' requirements just are not there, (and besides, there are certain types of felons, that are not permitted to vote at all (who do you think you find in halfway houses?) The voting requirements are being ignored, which tells me that he will be elected by FRAUD. We have one criminal that is already President. We do not need another..............................DianeR

So by your own account, you're undecided about who to vote for but you always post pro-republican, anti-democrat posts. You also said you wouldn't post about politics anymore. What gives?

Goodness Diane, talk about stealing election think back 2000, 2004, Ohio, Chenny, Karl Rowe. lots of funny things going on.

The Republicans are doing it again, in Michigan and other places (maybe why they are backing out of Michigan bc it is not working) telling people if they lost their homes they could not vote. GMAB!!!!!! and other sneaky stuff!

What really strikes me funny Diane is that you left the board in a huff and then when you returned you said you were not going to post or answer any political topics. It was all too stressful. And then immediately you proceeded to post political topics and haven't stopped since. Not that it matters, you have every right in the world to post whatever you want but you seem to be getting yourself all worked up again.

I learned quite a bit in this post. Actually, this historical tidbit at the end caught my attention:

This is how the Communist regimes got into power. (By bribery and intimidation).

Who knew the Communist regimes were so subtle? I had been under the belief they came into power in Russia, China and Cuba, at least, through civil war, guerrilla warfare and violent revolution. And I thought the Eastern European communist countries had communism imposed upon them by the Soviet Union after WWII. Which communist regimes BRIBED their way into power?

  • Hey, farmer, ask me. I saw Dr. Zhivago....lots of times. Well, makes about as much sense as DianneR, doesn't it?.......At least I named a source........................Kate
  • FB, look at what has happened in Missouri. People have been arrested, for merely having a sign displayed, which supports the opposing candidate. This is how it will all get started. Maybe subtly at first, maybe just in a few states, but he has broken so many laws (including obtaining ''voters'' that are homeless, raiding the soup kitchens, and halfway-houses), and bussing them to a state where it is ''legal'' to vote early. No residency requirements are followed - no checking into the people's backgrounds to see if they are convicted felons (who cannot vote). He will be elected, in part, by voter fraud. It is happening already........................DianeR

And you know this, how?   To report a story in a legit news media , one needs 3 sources.  You haven't sited one.  Please post your source.

Just because someone said something doesn't make it true.  AND if you know this as a fact, you have the responsibility to report it to the State Attorney General of Illinois.

Do your homework and then do your civic duty.  Or come back here and apologize.

  • True Kate. The same would be for inbox stories of Roger Ebert. Just because someone typed it doesn't make it true. This is true in both cases.
  • Noooooo, my source was better than that . I got it in my INBOX for sure ,but the source was old Roger, himself. Look inside here for the link to his website and the story. That's ok, you need not apologize. .....Kate
  • I wasn't being rude. Your post didn't have the link. Everyone is being asked for a link or a source. I just asked. If I offended, I apologized, but lately, believing is seeing.
  • It would work better if you signed your name out here in the open. I don't click in to see who wrote the response if it's not signed. Signing is a matter of courtesy................FYI....................Kate

I've been looking for info about this 'Chicago to Ohio' business. Do you mind if I ask where you heard about that?  I can find articles about the early voting starting now in Ohio, and how Obama's campaign workers have organized car pools for some voters. I quote:

"Early voting advocates are targeting college students, the homeless, the poor and minorities — voters who have traditionally had a hard time getting to the polls.

Obama's campaign planned to organize carpools from college campuses around the state to local polling places. And the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless hoped to transport 2,000 homeless individuals from shelters to polling places in the Cleveland area".

I'm not finding any reference to anybody being brought in from Chicago. Maybe I'm not understanding your post correctly?

The constant questions about where Barry's money comes from is confusing to me.   I have a manilla folder in my office, filled with his and Michelle's joint tax returns from the past several years.   They were available on-line, where anyone could print them out and study them.  I printed them out.  There's nothing mysterious about them.   Just lots of income from the U.S. Senate and royalties from book sales.

  • This subject was brought up a couple of weeks ago too. I don't get it either. The info is there plain as day if you look at it. I actually posted websites that showed details about both Obama & McCain's financial backgrounds at that time, but apparently it's easier to ignore those facts and make insinuations. /faysie
  • Bravo, Ricky! .........Kate
  • Ricky, as an accountant (at least I think that is what you said you are), you surely know that there are other ways of hiding money. And, do you really believe that a school would ''loan'' a student up to $180K in student loans, or more? You know he did not go to school on student loans. Unless I saw the paperwork from Harvard, I will not believe it. It just does not happen. But then again, look at these NINJA loans (you know the ones I'm talking about - ''no money, no job, no assets?'' - the kind that were being made to minorities and illegals? The loans that the Clinton administration, and other Democrats pushed for? I guess anything is possible..........................DianeR
  • I'm not sure how much money he borrowed, because I simply haven't investigated his financial aid situation. But I doubt that anyone running for president and voluntarily releasing his tax returns would be guilty of tax evasion, if that's what you're suggesting ... Ricky
  • Diane, YES a student at Harvard could get that kind of money. One of my friends had over $100,000 in student loans and that was 15 years ago. ~i&b
  • Right --- that's exactly why the tax code allows a deduction for student loan interest in arriving at adjusted gross income --- because so many Americans are still paying off college debt, well into their 30s and 40s .... I wouldn't begin to know how Obama financed his education without going to Harvard and pulling his (confidential) tuition files. But I would imagine that it is a combination of Pell grants, work-study funds, help from his grandparents, and some really big student loans ... Ricky
  • Ricky, Obama just paid off his student loan a couple of years ago with proceeds from his first book if that tells you anything. ~i&b

First, it's called a scholarship. And a student loan. And isn't it  wonderful  that there are such things? Because without them, only the RICH could go to university.

Secondly, why shouldn't homeless peolpe vote? They are citizens are they not? Did you ever consider that maybe they will vote Republican when they get there? No?

And the idea that Republicans are too mild mannered is quite possibly the funniest thing I have ever heard.

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • My point was - these homeless people were bussed from a state where voting early is not legal - to a state where voting early, IS legal. You LEGALLY, cannot vote in a state where you do not reside. Again, it is not legal..........................DianeR
  • Where is your proof of these allegations, Diane? You're great at making accusations but you can never seen to support them with documented facts. ~i&b
  • Day 3 and the wait continues... ~i&b
  • I spent a fair chunk of time trying to find some online reference to people from Chicago being brought into Ohio for the early voting, and couldn't find any references to it. I really think people should be responsible and provide their sources. Otherwise, it's just innuendo and gossip mongering. At least that's my opinion. /faysie

I do not understand why you would not believe that someone could get a $45K loan for a year of university (your GMAB comment leads me to think you do not believe he got loans to go to Harvard - correct me if I am wrong).  I received huge loans to get through college, along with some scholarship money and various grant monies.  Students get very large loans all the time.  I was well over $100K in debt when I finished and I know several people with more than $200K in student loans.  I have a friend who is 49 years old and is still paying her student loans and she did not go to grad school.

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • I agree Rushlan. I know people who carried tremendous student debt when they graduated. And I recall both Barack & Michelle indicating that they were only able to pay off their student loan debt within the last few years./faysie
  • It is highly unlikely that any school would loan a student $45K per year to go to school - not that kind of money. I mean your talking ,l what, loans totalling up to $180,000.00?? That kind of money would never be ''lent'' for a school loan - especially Harvard........................DianeR
  • The loans come from the government and private lending institutions and yes, those amounts are lent all the time. How do you think people get through medical school or law school or get that Wharton or Harvard MBA? Not everyone who goes to those universities are rich. Again, I personally received loans of $100K and would have been more if I had not gotten scholarships, which did come from the schools. You are obviously talking about a subject you are not familiar with. There is a huge amount of money available for students in need. You might do a little research instead of just rebuffing what I, and others here, have experienced first hand. rushlan
  • Hate to burst your bubble, Diane, but that is exactly what happens and that's why so many students graduate with huge debt. I don't know how you think people are paying for their educations if they're not taking huge loans. ~i&b
  • One thing is becoming obvious. And that's that DianeR doesn't have higher level education. If she did she'd probably be more aware of how the scholarship/student loan situation works. And she'd appreciate the value of doing some research prior to posting insubstantiated rumours & crap.
