Subject: PS, I guess there are degrees of formality, too. If it's a casual party with friends, you could always say something like, ''I'm beat. Let's say we call it a day. I've got to get up early tomorrow'' If it is a formal party with printed invitations, you can do as Ang suggests, with definite times....eom...Mitch

Subject: Mitch we had some friends in the 70's and frequently grilled and ate together. One visit my husband just nodded off right there in a living room chair. They just laughed and decided to leave. We did know them well though. //s'mom
