Subject: I know you didn't say HFCS was specifically designed to make us fat, but you were talking about chemicals that make us fat and that is the only one I could think of. It definitely has a lot of calories in it, but it was specifically created as a low cost alternative to sugar. I thought possibly it was one of the chemicals you had in mind in your post. I agree with you that big business doesn't really care about our health... they just want our money. But I don't agree that they want us to be fat. They just want us to buy their stuff, and do that, by making the products desirable. But I don't believe that anybody in the product creation department sits around discussing a goal of making the consumer fat. It just happens that high fat, high sugar products often taste good. SQ
